Check our website and look for information about the destination to which you are going to travel. The more you know about your destiny, the quieter you will travel and the more sure of yourself, eliminating the possible fears or apprehensions about a trip to the unknown. Keep a travel diary, it is good to record what you discover.

2. Talk to everyone

To choose where you eat, to know what monument to visit, to look for accommodation. It’s fun to ask when you lose your modesty and many conversations, friendships and practical advice that you would not have gotten if you’re sullen and go alone to yours.

When traveling alone, you will have to greet and meet people and it is better not to hesitate or get stuck in explanations, especially if another language is spoken at the destination. Say hello, say who you are and why you are there, what you do and smile what you can.

7. Sit with others

Approach a table or a bank where someone is and planted it naturally. Do you mind if I sit with you? Telling you are new to the city and that you do not know anyone and smile usually works.

8. Secure your most precious properties, in addition to the passport

Making a travel insurance and using a padlock to protect your personal effects is useful, especially if you sleep sharing a room or in places where there is not much security. It is good advice to also scan your ID and your passport (or take a good photo) to take them on your mobile phone in case you lose them.

9. Be natural

Being false or dishonest is something that shows. Be always natural and do not “go from what you are not”. Walk, take pictures, talk, relate. It is something that will come out automatically and without imposture and will help you to know the best of each place.
